Even cheaper in UK £24 for two !! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SLIM-BIXENON-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3ca92aed72
Yes it will fit, but chances are 95% it wont work without rewiring as when at low rpms the AC voltage wont be stable enough to keep the ballasts running and the bulbs will stutter and kill themselves... youll probably have to run the via a relay direct from the battery and use a switch to turn them on/off and not use the AC headlight feed at all.
Yes you are right. it can't be used on AC voltage, thats why they recomend to connect it directly to the battery. See the diagram.
awesome things hid's though! well bright! single best thing you can do to any vehicle if doing alot of night miles! you will not be disapointed! just a word of warning though in uk i no it is technically illegal to install hid's in any light unit that doesn't use projector lenses. not sure if typhoon use projector's or if the beam is controlled by the glass? dunno what the laws like in your country though?!
Yes, same problems in Norway. But I will do it anyway, the original light is no good. Chances for beeing caugth, and get a fine with this mod. is minimal.
I spoke to a traffic cop, he says hed only do you for your lights, if their not on. Mine were dim as fuck on the nrg and he said their fine lol. Theirs alternative to these what arn't as bright but ped freindly.. can't remeber what there called :glare:
Yes i see they have included a relay, but what youll find often happens with it set up like that, is the relay will keep flicking and arcing out when the engine rpms are low as the relay is designed to operate with a stable constant DC supply, not a widely variable AC current. :good: So youll get massive amounts of ballast stuttering unless the engines at 1/4 throttle or above... On piaggio group machines which i normally fit them on, i get round this by taking a ignition switch fed live to the light switch (or add a light switch if its a later model with a blank) then take the output from the switch to the control side of the relay. now wire the main relay feeds to battery and HID kit... this gives you a decent steady DC supply to the relay. Ive fitted loads over the past couple of years. (Normally H4-4 bulbs to replace the naff bosch 35/35w bulbs a lot of scooters like Zips etc use)
