Ok, on the random today I lost my key, luckily I've got the remote start option on my alarm so it just meant I couldn't open the petty tank, so I could still get about to get it fixed. Anyways I end up going to a locksmith on the high street, he had a look and said if I gave him the ignition barrel he should be able to make a key.

I had my tools with me so quickly wiped off the barrel, gave it to him and he told me to come back tomorrow. Now, I was stuck miles from my flat, with tools and a bike with no ignition. So not fancing pushing it I decided to hotwire it, and really not fancing pushing it at all I hotwired it in the middle of the highstreet.

This is what got me. I was bent over that bike with a pair of pliers, electrical tape and a screwdriver working double time to get it going, wires poking out everywhere. Took about 20 min in the end (I'm no theif and yes I know it was painfully slow lol) yet nobody questioned me. 2 Police officers walked past and didn't even bat an eyelid.

When I got it going all I got was a cheeky smile from a couple walking down the street who'd been watching me do it. What gets me is nobody knew that was my bike, so anybody could of been stealing my bike and not even the police would question him.

So, I would now without a doubt question somebody doing something dodge to any bike, because I've relised nobody else will, not even the police. So, would you question somebody in the same circumstances??

Depends how you act in my opinion as to reasons why nobody says nothing.

Still don't take anybody 20 seconds to just ask what your doing...

I would of said it was more than dodge, you had to be there to get the picture I spose. Young guy with a beanie and a roll up hanging out his mouth, bent double over a bike next to a bench in the highstreet with wire cutters hot wiring a bike.

Hundreds of people must of walked past, I heard people talking about me nicking it and when I saw the police I thought somebody must of called them. But they walked past like I tying up my shoelaces. I can't believe nobody had the balls to ask if it was my bike.

    Maddness!!!

    Anyway........

    1-0!!!!! :D

Seeing one person do it confidently and not edgy then yeah I would think it would be their bike, but more than 1 person then I'd think about it.

After getting a bike nicked sometimes you just want revenge and you wouldn't want someone else to go through what you have.

Been in similar position more than once with bikes and to be honest if anything people stopped to ask if i needed a hand or tools (mostly old codgers even the mormons avoid talking to)
If I did see someone I thought was dodgy I would take a good clear phone pic of his face and the bike/scooter.
