Would it hurt a 2stroke 50..

If a sports type exhaust and larger carb we're put on and it maxed out at 40/45 mph?
New to bikes ands 2stroke etc

 

done all the time, get a good pipe, upjet the carb and should get 40-45 depending how fast it goes derestricted before new pipe

 

Leaving it restricted before the new pipe, it's something that I've inherited and it's a bugger to get standard parts!, anyone know what the best jet is for a 19mm carb?

A 19mm carb on a 50 will be shit, get a 17.5

 

Ah yes, but as standard the ay50 has a metal intake pipe. You can get the manifold conversion to a rubber intake, R.acing P.lanet, about £20, then have a bigger selection of carbs to go for. The Leo Vince ZX is a good pipe, as already stated, a 17.5mm dellorto is a good choice, jetted to 82 main with a 45 pilot. Open type filter. then the Polini variator with 5gr rollers. And malossi drive belt.
