would i need a spring compressor to to take apart clutch and change clutch springs?

    No. It's easier if you have a spring puller but it's not that hard of a job either way.

    Be careful while undoing the main centre nut, get someone to hold it down on the floor or use a long threaded rod to stop it jumping off and smacking you in the teeth!
