Worlds fastest scooter now held by TDR Scooters

Quick update from the new home of the worlds fastest and quickest scooter.

Thought you guys should be the first to know that today 30/05/09 at the FIA approved drag strip Santa Pod (the same track that the previous holder PM Tuning claimed the record of the "worlds fastest scooter") Dave on "Red Dwarf" made a run of........

11.9037 at 108.27 mph!

Fastest run of ANY auto scooter on any FIA approved drag strip in the world! Both in terminal speed and elapsed time making that the worlds fastest scooter.

Then in the spirit of the event and the ever present rule of "backing -up" the run in case of timing errors or flukes.

Dave on "Red Dwarf" at the same strip and in the same event and on the same day and conditions ran..

11.9760 at 105.73 mph! with no changes to the vehicle and with ACU personel present at the track side.

These runs were also witnessed by Joe Elliot (previous record holder on PM tunings sprinter) as a matter of record although Joe has no afiliation to us at TDR Scooters.

We are now the "home of the worlds fastest scooter" and i invite disscussion from all groups who lay claim to the title and subsequent advertiseing revenue gained from claiming such.

Suppose PM have now gotta advertise themselves on their low prices...till someone mentions they're not including VAT. Well then i guess it's gotta be the quality of their products...hmmm yeah. Ohh okay how about their customer service then...rightttt!

Glad to see the record has gone to people who actually care about it not just using it for revenue

You dont need pictures of Red Dwarf.. still remains the same rail frame scoot she started life as three years ago.
Might have a vid... i strapped with a video aimed at the centre of the strip and recorded the second 11.9 run as I clocked 13.2. Strange holding back as your racing but i`ll take one for the team any day..... for a world record

Yes the first 120 ft was all wheel spin should get the time down to about 1.5 ish
The problem is getting the right tyre soft as shit compound and a good profile
for a 10 inch wheel ,but it gives us a great feeling knowing there is atleast 3 tenth
or more from the very start ,but even after 3 years on the same bike i must
admit on the second run i nearly shat myself in less than 1.8 sec :emb: :emb:

 

Well done lads. To be honest you WORKED for it and deserve it. Can't wait to see PM's new banner, although they will prolong it as much as possible.


P.S, can we all send emails to PM now asking them to change it?
