basically i am confused on how to wire the wires from my alarm onto my loom,,,but i think i may have figured a way out basically..say this is the indicator wire that i have to connect another wire to am i able to just clear some of the insulation like so ... and then connect the wire from my alarm like so... will this work? cheers guys/girls
yeah thatll work, i used a block with like a screw either side, that way you dont need to solder or owt like that... mount it behind the front panel, run a wire thru ya bellypan and to the battery (i used speaker wire) every wire apart from that wires behind the front panel sam
No thats a bodge job unless you properly solder it and insulate it with tape. Go buy some chock blocks from maplins or your nearest electrical/diy supplier.. they cost next to nothing aswell. All you need to do is cut the indicator wire in half, put one end in the terminal along with the alarm wire, and the other half of the indi wire goes the other side of the chock block terminal.
Those choc blocks are crap for wireing alarms in....are prone to condensation getting onto the bare copper...lots of false alarms :msn1: The 1st method was best...with solder like mentioned before and heat shrink...or at the very least insulation tape
alright then thanks alot guys ive finished college alredi so i think ill have a bash at it now i have no top end but meh...ive got battery thanks again for the help guys
