Right ive ridden in wet weather loads before with an air filter but every now and then it gets really bad and can bog and i really dont want to damage my bike

My bike runs alot better with an air filter than it does an airbox

so what are your solutions for solving this? i was finking about put and airbox on but fitting and air filter like a k&n on the inside and running tubing into the panels?

anyways i need a hand so what do you think?

open up the inlet hole...i removed the trunking that runs from the footboard to the inlet...then open up the outlet that connects up to the carb rubber.

Then the most important bit...open up the slot on the outer case where the air has to pass from one side of the filter element to the other...thats the most restrictive part of the box...

you could do some smoothing of the internal ribs inside the box and smooth any corners and turns....I also made a better inlet horn for mine ;)

After all that...it should flow a lot better and still be quiet and weather proof!!

The general idea is to make sure any passages are atleast the same size as the internal venturi of your carb or a little bigger...on mine that was 20.5mm or bigger..
