Winter RS250 Project

Just a little something as a project for the winter, I know its not a scooter but...





If anyone remembers it was ROSSRS RS but its been mine for a few months, shifted it up north and its been sat in the workshop awaiting rejuvenation once I'd left Uni.

Plans are to fully rebuild and track prep faired and have a road fairing with lights also.

UPDATE 30/12/07


Rolled the RS onto the bench this afternoon and started to strip it down to the chassis. All fairing parts are intact with the exception of the left lower panel which has had some previous half-arsed bodge treatment (I’ll be getting a whole new set anyway). No it wasn't me that dropped it, I bought it like that, these pictures just about let you see how much of a state it's in at the moment-











Took one look at the engine/underneath and didn’t do anymore…

Picked up a new set of Dunlop D208 tyres today as well

UPDATE 02/01/08

Dropped the motor















Motor will be stripped at a later date as I'm concentrating on the chassis and suspension overhaul for now. Wheels powdercoated, frame polishing, fork seals and oil, braided brake hoses, brake pads, chain and sprockets and general clean up to mint condition.

Whats the plans? 500cc engine implant

 

like to see a 500 that'll keep up with the aRSe 250

it leaves my 350 for dead even in the state its in now.

 

Its a quite a good mod to do, obviously it'll be a 2stroke 500.

thats a lovely bike never seen such a tidy one i can honestly say. they are getting pretty hard to get hold of now evidentally? how do they perform as a 250 two stroke goes?
