    nope, cable slide carbs do work on 4t's b ut they usual;ly need a fuel pump (not the type you would find on a 2t) it squirts fuel into the inlet as you first pull the throttle... 2t carbs on 4t bikes end up with stupidly rich settings at idle to keep it from dying as you touch the throttle...

    tbh the carb's on these engines arnt the problem.. its between the carb and exhaust wich is prittyy major work.. simply changing to the correct type of slide or even butterfly carb will see an improvment over the cv carb. cv carbs are more for geard vehicles that hold full throttle at low revs (the slide in these is vacum dependant so the more rpm the more the slide lifts, there is a butterfly to control the throttle)

    so ye, dont bother bodging, buy a carb made for a 4t ;)
