was planning on doing my mod2 in next month or so and then doing the next test and getting a restricted bandit600 next march, but decided i need something to get me about, selling the golf and whatever money i get from that and possibly (not 100%) some of my savings will be spent on a 125cc. i cant decide wich one i want though, got it down to a few -
    honda cg125
    yamaha ybr125
    sinnis apache125

the bike would have to handle 10 mile round commute (possibly) + regular 60+ mile round trips + occasional 2 up ride.
so wich one do you guys would be best suited?

ive ridden a ybr125 and it was good just bothers me that ive been told they have gear issues, sometimes they wont go into gear.
the cg125 is a bit boring when riding but im sure itd always get me there etc etc
cant comment on the sinnis but spicy110 has one and hes now greenlaning it with no issues, will reserve judgement on that one.
just such a hard choice :(

what sort of fuel consumption does he get though?

sinnis apaches are good but dont hold there money at all i would go with the ybr just cause its yamaha and looks better than the cg

i cant go for one on looks though, i have to consider everything
the cg125 is good on a all round basis but they tend to get boring on long rides and when ill do a 60+ mile round trip potentially 4 times a week that wont be good. good fuel range + insurance is £450 fully comp
the ybr is good for most things but the gear thing bugs me, again brilliant on fuel and insurance is £475 fully comp.
the appache is now knocked off the list - read a few reviews and apparently they dont do 2 up very well (important as ill have to occasionally take a pillion) insurance was £460 fully comp

lol theres a local lad whos got one without the decals, rides it down steps, wheelies all the time, chases chavs down the pavement, backfires past almost everyone hes a nutter, bit too much for me + poor pillion ability lets it down

twist and go is only being considered at mo and if its twist and go it has to be a maxi scooter because of how big i am and the distances id have to cover. only being considered still want a geared 125 lol

cg, ybr, gn, all the same to ride, easy to ride, boring, nothing much to say really, get a cg125, stick a cr125 motor in there and wheelie in every gear. or get an rs, not sure what the new rs125 is like, but its a 4 stroke, the honda cbf125 is nice to ride, injection, decent brakes, and its quite nippy too

the cg ive ridden before and i found to be boring, i rode a ybr and it was good but again the issue i keep getting told about the gears bothers me, dont want to be pissing about doing engine swaps either, didnt think about the new rs125 but deffiantely am now, i did consider the old one but it wouldnt be able to take half the shit id put it through, the cbf is a new contender to, thanks :)

I got a ybr125 nice commuter bike 100mpg not going to win any speed tests or you won't wheelie with one but it does the job also its only £2400 from new.
