Its happened the last couple of days and i think its gettin worse. I will be riding along normally then if i slow down and try to accelerate i wont get any power and the bike wont attempt to get going for about 20seconds until it starts to gradualy get faster?!?! Any ideas?? Cheers
id say it was boggin cause of to much fuel but if it only happend in last couple of days, u dont live far from me at all, what does your bike look like
no it jst feels like the engine cant b bothered to move and sounds like im not revining it much?!?! any thoughts?? Gt a black n white runner.... only jst started riding it tho... i jst added u major. cheers
wel i dont think it will be the rollers or belt as they are fairly newish what do you mean... and how could i solve this???? Cheers
is this what you mean...?? www.scooter-attack.com article number... MF20.14008 should i be gettin this?? Cheers
Things i did today... Read through my haynes manual and did what i understood of it... 1. looked at my spark plug and its a dark coaly colour (bad fuel/air mix) 2. Cleaned air filter 3. checked for holds in manifolds etc.... found nothing wrong 4. set my idle to the 2 1/4 turns it should be STILL NO CHANGE!!!! I did notice however that some small air bubbles were going through the petrol pipe and into the carb.... ?!?!?! so people... whats rong with it??? lol
you have a lack of compression IMO but cant tell for sure without loking, could be a crank seal or crap in the carb still
well ive cleaned my carb and found my main jet had started to go slightly green?!?! It looks like rust... so i cleaned it which had made it a lil better, but im still nt gettin the same performance as before it went rong....do you think i should get a new jet?? As for the compression... do i need new piston rings or the whole unit??? Cheers
hey, first thing i would do is to replace the rollers and belt, as if they are worn then they will have flat spots on then which will stop them rotating. try checking or changing the torque sprint behind the clutch as if hi milege bike then could be tired, if u have stronger spring then once u shut off the throttle it will return the torque driver to start position so wen u go back on the throttle will let u have the same power as wen you forst set off. hope u understand that and its any help??
The exact symptoms happened to me a couple of years back.. exactly like you just explained it.. The shaft that the variator fits onto had for some reason a bit of surface rust on it... which meant the variator would stick....(it couldnt slide open or closed freely) I carefully rubbed all the rust off with wet n dry and put a light oil on and its been fine since Failing that i agree with minor...deffo sounds transmission related
