Right then, who on the forum want's a scooter? ride's a scooter because they want to, not because they have to because they can't afford the banging cora/nova/saxo etc. I ride because i like it and want to, I've got a 63 plate Astra sportstourer but ride every day rain or shine and have done since 81". It really get's my back up when you see adds like "sale due to passing my driving test", it's like now i can drive the scooter is now shit and now I'm not a 3rd class citizen, you can have both a scooter and a car, it's not against the law! I'll just dump the scoot and never give it a second look. Let us know your reasons for owning a scooter!

been bought up around cars/vans/bikes/scooters all my life, i dont particularly need it, i can commute by other means and i usually do, but once its on the road itll be used everyday rain or shine. been riding since my 16th birthday legally and a little off road/as pillion before that. scooters and bikes are in my blood, they make me who i am, id take it so far to say id end my relationship if i was forced to choose between her and my scoot. hell id even move out of my mums if i was told to get rid of it by her. scooters and bikes over cars anyday. the community that comes with bikes and scooters too is just unreal, people really dont get what we mean by it because they dont experience it properly. see a biker side of road, help them. if your at side of road they help you. even get help off other bikers fixing when your off the road, hell when friends of mine who i met through riding have come off, ive gone 20+ miles to help recover bike and took them a flask of tea. were all one big family, love the whole community, love riding. ill never give it up completely. yeah we have bad times, all of us do, but those are outweighed by the good massively. especially on a nice hot summers day, riding with some great mates down nice country lanes with trees either side, bit of bon jovi in one ear piece quietly. thats what its all about for me, the community/great times/being on two wheels :)

I bought the TKR for my son about 14 months ago, so he could get to work when he and his ex split up. He then went on to buy his younger brother's Honda Varadero 125, so I got the Peugeot back and I'm in the midst of doing it up so that I can have a mid life crisis ride it for shits and giggles. I have been a biker on and off since I was 16 and have repaired more cars and bikes than I care to remember.

<---- raised on rock and metal :)

In a time, in a place
    In a world, they forgot
    Lives the heart of me
A part that just won't die
Just a boy, not a man
Sent to war, in a land
They said we'd fight for their freedom
But I felt like a hired hand

Sometimes I have to find my way
Sometimes I have to get away

Take me back to Tokyo Road
Take me back to Tokyo Road

    Working hard, for a pass
Got the night, make it last
It was a time to remember
All my life I would never forget
    In a bar, breathing smoke
    Snorting whiskey, drinking coke
It was a time when no one would die
    And there wasn't a care

Sometimes I wish it was that way
Cause sometimes I have to get away

some of the best lyrics ever.

    Get you motor runnin',
    Head on down the highway,
    Lookin' for adventure,
    In whatever comes our way,

Oh baby gonna make it happen,
Take the World in a love embrace,
Fire all of your guns at once and explode into space.
    Like a true nature's child,
We were born, born to be wild,
Gonna fly so high, ain't never gonna die.
    Born to be wild...

You'll go some way to beat those lyrics.
