really having trouble setting up my vx 125 carb, so now ive decided to pay someone who knows what they are doing and could preferably come to me in east london. heres the problem list bike takes long to start from cold, needs throttle to start and even then it just dies until few more goes where it will start up and stay on. second problem is that its running too rich plug are always dry black and could smell allot of petrol coming from exhaust and fuel economy is not good. ive already cleaned the carb including all jets but that hasn't really helped although the black smoke has stopped coming from the exhaust. i went to a bike mechanic who clearly new nothing and the bike is exactly the same. i know there are members on here with good knowledge so if theres anyone that is willing to help a member out ( ofcourse ill pay) then please contact me i would really appreciate it.
If the bike is totally stock then it's just a case of making sure it has the right jet in it and setting it up via the stock settings. Not that hard of a job really.
the bike is fully standard and the jets have not been touched. i replaced themanifold as it was cracked now it is easier to start but not perfect and still black smoke coming from exhaust. it also sort of backfires like a poof poof at high revs
yeahh im having the same problem as you where my vx 125 the throttle doesnt work straight away and ive gotta let it run a bit for while for the throttle to work. also im from stratford east london
