The ludix blaster is dead !!
My fault entirely, the oil feed line had come off and it seized. I've just done a compression test and its not good so, seeing as its coming apart i thought I'd invest in a new 70cc kit.

What are everyone's opinions on kits around the 150 mark, I'm looking at the Malossi sport or the Airsal sport.
I'm not sure what the current kit is ( it was on there when i bought it ) but i have a 21mm Dellorto carb and a tuned pipe ( again unsure of the pipe brand )
So it's aluminum or cast iron.
    Opinions please [emoji106][emoji106]
    Many thanks for looking

I've been doing some reading and the general consensus seems to indicate that the Malossi sport kit would be a more sturdy / reliable option, a nice pipe to match and the 21mm dellorto. Anyone have any experience with the Malossi ?

i think most would say a malossi iron kit. but a alloy kit would disipate heat quicker in a air cooled scooter.

it also depends on your riding style. something like a racing scooter you would fit an alloy kit because its more easy to bore out than get a new nic coating that can cost a lotta money ( plus the plating can sometimes not be great it depends on who's plating it and if there skipping corners to make cash)

street wise an iron bore would last longer, but when they have worn a lot they tend to require either a replate or a re-bore with an oversized piston fitted , they get a lot more miles and would last a lot longer than an alloy kit. or in this day and age a re-sleave

Piston slap, usually race motors will have a good 4-5 pistons in a race season and upwards 5-10 ring swaps to keep the compression maxed like new. not so much needed on a street scoot but you would need to listen out for piston slap or have a compression test every 1000 miles + just to see how well the rings are fairing . if your riding style is hard on the gas

alloy is lighter and wears a little quicker , disipates heat faster
Iron is heavy and wears a little less, it does not disipate heat as quick but lasts a lot longer.

I would say iron kit due to its longer lasting and your street riding

    Thanks Tamiyacowboy
I've gone for the cast iron Malossi. I don't particularly want a racing scooter, but do like the idea of the longer life it should give me.
Should be here early next week hopefully [emoji106]

When my Stage6 70cc SPro goes I'm going for Mallossi or Polini. Nothing but issues with Stage6 tbh.
