Hello Peeps! Does anyone know the rules on bike parking? for instance, if the bike bay outside work is full (it usually is) can i park on the car pay and display bays? are we ever able to park on single yellow lines? is there a book on this subject? thanks all in advance :wtf:
bit of a grey area, personally i just dump my scooter on the pavement wherever it falls but different towns have different rules about this.
Yes i have noticed some bikes on the pavements, but i have never done it myself! i would not be able to lift my bike upon the pavement anyway, and i am too old to jump it up! Thanks for that anyway
if you live in say london... might get greif off parking wardens etc ive parked in random places, mostly on paths, only hassle i had was when i parked outside asda, and on the way out an old guy who worked there started being a cheeky twat, telling me there were hundreds of parking spaces on the car park, i was like yeah and this is a pikey area, your company policy says you dont take responsibility for parked vehicles so fuck off... also at ma cousins birthday party (a golf clubhouse)i parked right by the door as it was again in a dodgy area, a pretty sound guy just said due to health and safety id need to move it so he showed me a place round the back with a chain lol, and he put ma lid and coat in an airing cupboard to dry... sound as lol imp: sam providing there arent specific signs saying DO NOT PARK HERE most times ya can get away with it :bird:
what about town arear where cars would have to pay and display (not car parks-street) ...do bikes have to pay? Always wondered this because what's to stop anyone from just taking your paid for ticket?
looks for the signs normally bikes dont have to pay as theres nowhere to display the ticket i park out side shops all the time no trouble really
Well where I live in town it doesn't say and I've always wondered if I'd get grief. There is a bike designated area just up the road but there's always bloody cars in it so I can't park in it!! Keep looking for a trafficwarden to ask!
