For fs sake; is there such a thing as a twelve inch five stud front wheel for an et2. Having a bitch trying to find one. SR 125 conv going well, engine in, wiring sorted, typh 12 inch rear. I think the lx 50 has an 11 inch front, could i correct this with sidewall?. all advice welcome. many thanks, I Know minor and terro dont do jets on tinternet, but could anyone give me a safe start point main, polini filter, 20.5 phvb. standard pipe.
Damn, means i got duped by an ebayer, anyways have a 12 rear with 130/70/12, is there something i could match to the front, my reasoning is 10's will over rev the engine without a gear up, i read that 12's offered better handling, comfort. Please correct if i'm wrong. Thanx tErr0
Cold be an old ass runner wheel if its rear drum? 5 spoke? It's not the size of the wheel that messes it up on an et or zip conversion its the size of the tyre. They run low profile tyres on small rims where as typhoons run huge tyres on small rims. It's a better idea to do it properly and run small rims, small tyres and a gear up then you get the best look and handling.
Hi tErr0, thank you for the reply, yes its a five spoke wheel, any ideas where i could get a 10 inch rear with a 140mm drum ?. really want to get out riding now. also thanx for the advice on the silent blok engine mounts.
If it's a SR conversion you will have to find a new shape 125 typhoon rear wheel. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Piaggio-T...49?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3a69c74f0d
Hi t3rr0, i emailed the seller a question about size and he replied 13 inch. I did this because the first wheel i bought was listed as a typh rear and when it was delivered it was a 12 inch, so i am now very carefull, always ask lots of questions before buying, i am starting to think that this 10 inch 140mm wheel dosn't actually exist, will go to fowlers and hassle a parts guy to find out. thank you for your help and advice.
Again if the item is the one in the picture its a 10" rim. The guy doesn't know how to use a ruler. Most breakers have fuck all clue what they are selling. I've owned lots of typhoons. They are my thing. A 10" typhoon 140mm drum will only ever be a 5 spoke like that wheel but they are rare as were only on 125 typhoons for a few years. The 50cc's had 5 spoke rims like them but they were smaller drum wheels. Hell I may even have one in my garage but it's a useful thing to have around.
Hi all, the saga continues, does anybody have the piaggio parts number for the many times mentioned wheel i'm after, guys at fowlers can't find it without. many thanks in advance.
Well after many hours searching with are best friend google, and even more hours with the parts guy at fowlers, we have concluded that a ten incher with a 140 drum is pure fantasy, thank you to those who had a good laugh at a newb.
