(WHEELS) ARGH IM PISSED!!

Well as some of you probably know I bought NRG rims to go on my typhoon. I bought the 3 bolt 12" wheel and was 'informed' this would fit directly on. Not the case the speedo drive isnt the same and there will be a gap so im guessing im going to have to use a spacer if i want it to fit with no speedo drive.

Now this is the reason im pissed

Wheels Sprayed = £40
New Pilot Sport = £35
Wheel = £25

erm, best bet is get a spacer made up fer it.

 

wont a nrg speedo drive work?

 

i thort u got the metal type one if so it should fit just get one made up if it comes to that ill check if my storm has one and it should be the same

 

this is what i wanted to ask in my post but forgot because im so pissed off lol

the nrg wheel doesnt fit into the lip on my forks where my typh sped drive is designed to fit in if you know what i mean?

so can i use a nrg speedo drive?

or am i truely PISSED FOR LIFE.

 

Well if you have got a nrg front wheel for your typh and it will not fit on as it has the metal speedo drive surely if you change this for the plastic type speedo drive it should work.. as the plastic one is slightly larger in size than the metal one

 

So does anyone know if the plastic nrg speedo will fix my problem before I waste anymore money lmao?

It should fit fine with the nrg speedo drive.

EDIT: my mate had a runner 50 with the metal type speedo drive, he switched it for a plastic one ( when he changed to nrg wheel's ) which was from a nrg 50 worked fine. hopefully this will answer ur question

 

do you have the two partscomeing out of the wheel where the speedo drive fits if so you can use a nrg speedo drive but if you dont you still need to use your typh one ill check on my storm today as it should be simaler

 

Yeah on my new NRG wheel the wheel has two metal parts coming out of it where as on my typh wheel it was flat where it connected to with the speedo drive if u know what i mean?

I had a Nrg mc3 a couple of years ago 52 plate and it had the plastic type speedo drive ( no spacer needed ) This should answer your question

The other thing I was wondering is that, on my forks it has a tiny little lip where the typh speedo drive slots in and im wondering if the nrg speedo is going to have the tiny little slot to slot in with it if you see what i mean?

And they don't have the flat bit on them, will have to cut this out yourself.
