paid for a new scooter todaybut my daughter has just informed me she is off to Spain with friends till February bike is not registered yet and wont be till next year now do I have to road tax it when it is delivered and insure it or can I wait till feb when she is home
Make a SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) if you don’t use or keep your vehicle on a public road, eg you keep it in a garage, on a drive or on private land. https://www.gov.uk/make-a-sorn Of course if the bike is not registered then you don't have to do anything - there is a risk of theft though if you are happy with the storage arrangements just wait until Feb to register the bike - otherwise register it just now and either opt to insure it and make a statutory off road notification with dvla
If its not even registered yet theres no need to do anything until you register the vehicle. No sorn has to be made if it has no registration. You dont need insurance until you register the vehicle. If the vehicle has a registration and it will be kept off the road then no need to insure it and just SORN it with the green slip of the logbook online. Sendt fra en BlackBerry-enhed .
so I get it registered ,well I have to be for they will release it, but I don't have to insure it but must sorn it
