As the title says. I have a Yamaha slider, currently in an array of pieces etc and im thinking of restoring it back to how it was. Due to my Aerox spitting out problem after problem i have pondered about the above, restoring my good old slider. Now, my budget isnt restricted as such but i dont want to get silly with how i go about restoring it. I will just go for a good setup keeping reliability in mind, nothing too fancy. I have the whole bike, spare panels, engine, etc. It will just need a good scrub up and some fresh paint which i already have here, the engine will be overhauled too. Being as though this was my first road legal bike and passed my cbt on it, it all makes sense just to revive it after it was stolen. Hope to hear your opinions, Tom.
Do to it what you consider needs doing to bring it to a standard that you are happy with. I know plenty of people that do practically nothing to their bikes and are happy, then there is the other crowd, that are never happy however much they spend on their rides. It's a personal thing.
Twodogs and Stevep, Good advice all round really thanks, its just the case of me ditching my aerox now, im also wanting something that is just "turn key". I think i may end up building this after all, as for three years it wanted for nothing, i paid £100 for it back then, and only ever filled up with fuel and oil, taxed, mot'd and insured it. Hopefully i'll get the bits ordered this week and i'll post the progress up in the project section.
