just recently noticed a small drop in mpg. all i have changed is my clucth and so it revs quite high off the line and at low speeds. could this cause it?

Could well be, you sure you have it setup correctly cause it should be pretty much linear in acceleration and revs. Otherwise could be running rich, choke stuck, petrol leak out float bowl (done it myself 1 gallon lost in an hour) to start of with.

higher revs = more petrol used

its all setup properly like carb and all that. i dont think theres a leak as when i leave it in the garage overnight in the morning there isnt a petrol patch or anything on the floor. i think its just were its revving a lot more its burning off the petrol. anyways ive put a drop of redex which should help clear out the carb etc.

its your clutch mate, think about it, the faster the engine revvs, the more it uses, and if you revv more EVERYTIME you pull away your gonna notice a difference

its alrite now. im getting about 120 miles to a tank (200 km) and it costs just under 8 quid to fill her up. if i go easy i could get over 200 miles to a tenner tho which is how the jobs done really.
