I love the kids saying that the RS is the fastest 125, restricted, its not much faster than a standard CBR125, now before you say who keeps them restricted, THE LAW; states it SHOULD be restricted, by not doing this you are breaking the law, you may aswell go out and buy a bigger bike with 28ish bhp and ride that around :wtf:
eeeerm...rs125 is 94mph standard measured using gps etc. bear in mind the 250 will only knock on 130 and thats twice the power and not much more weight. you'll get a real ton out of the 125 with a jolly moto/jl or arrow and sort out a 34mm carb. mx you're looking at 85mph.
get the dt125. we had one for the feild. wicked bike nice power and looks much better than a rs tzr nsr ect ect. leeroy
get a dt you can thrash them all day but still have 22 odd bhp when derestricted. but get a new one most 125s are fucked :w00t:
aprilia rx125s from me, dont give a flying fuck about speed its the noise for me. they sound like a fucking lion, specially when the drop the box down a gear pheeeeeeeeww! this boy in mumbles has one but the rs125's sound good too and theyre bloody rapid
No just some people try to keep the crime figures down and set a good example for bikers arc: Why get a RS125 if your 17 you may aswell pass your bike test and get a restricted bigger bike, it will get the 100mph one hell of alot faster than a RS125 and not blow up when you hold it at that speed for a few miles
think half the appeal of the rs is the handling. which no bigger bike will feel like (buells aside), i'd get another rs125 just for the way it handles and makes every journey feel like your own tt. it makes you feel like you're going fast but not being able to overtake as easy or top out as fast as a bigger bike brings down the risk factor of an accident. and they stop like nothing else. as i say, buy rs or mx, get a top end if you're worried, 34mm carb, new pipe. done. if you like bikes you'll love it mate, now the 250's gone, its the closest thing to a gp bike
similar, brakes bit better, 250 turns in more violently. twitchy to the point of annoying. they whacked a wider front wheel on the later ones to slow that down a bit to be same as the 125. think the 125 is just better balanced, whacking the throttle open mid corner to hit the power on the exit on the 125 wont affect what its doing. the 250 makes the front go light - run wide more. no joking but seriously feels like there is more mid range on the 125, less of a bang comparitivly when the power comes in. again changed on later 250's. i'd say if you could whack one of the ktm right hand chain engines in, you'd have a perfect bike with the 125
in 1987 I had a RG125 Gamma....was pretty quick in its day!! about 21bhp de-restricted...They are a bit small looking now though especially compared to modern 125"s which are designed to look bigger than what they are!! used to be quicker than my mates RD125LC though...the suzuki was more slippery shaped with a full fairing!!
mmm v due, need one. rd500 sound awesome, seen lufo tuned one from portugal? 120bhp . rg500's piss takingly overpriced. ns400 hahahahaha. oh dear. nsr250 on the other hand is awesome, the honda rs250 gp barrels fit. 85bhp if you can be arsed with doing everything to them. rgv lumps go to 75 if you're lucky.
