Looking to get a new front tyre for my Runner 50SP (03), as I have a slow puncture. Can anyone reccomend any?

    Thanks.

If your tyre has lots of life left in it, then get a garage to repair the puncher.

Ive had 3 punchers so far in less than 6 months.. They cost around £20-30 to repair, which is cheaper than forking out £60++ for a new tyre Inc. fitting.

Very little tread on the tyre too. So reparing it isnt an option.

Ok, replace the tyre then, if the rear is getting bold then replace the pair.

Most garages in my area fit contental tyres, which are a german make and have much better grip over the stock slovaskianbhambleded made tyre.. Also expect it to last a little longer and get less punchers. And the tyres only cost about £30 each.

You can try other brands, but Ive only tried the stock tyre and my contentals.. So I cant give anymore info than that.

£60+ for a tyre? I paid £23 for my Pirelli Evo tyre (trade price) + fitting. Most places only charge about £12 - £15 above trade price for tyres and normaly if you take the wheel off and take it to the shop when buying the tyre they will fit it for free.

Oh... My tyre's came 6 wet and dry :emb: Better then the conttis though :p

The tyres used on that bike that went round the track may not be the same bike as yours so you probably wont be getting the same results...although you wont be far off
Also, the best tyre i have ever had on a sr is the pirelli sl26 and would recomend to anyone..

DONT go for sports on a runner 50, they are too sticky for the chassis, ML50s are better. the runner can't handle Pilots.

i put pilots on Liam (vaopur's) runner just before he stacked it, the tyres stick too well and cause tank slappers.

take care to start with, tyre pressures will need altering for the tyres
