No such thing as power and reliability really maybe build a fast 70 on the side and keep a stock bike for getting about? £500 wont get you much of a 125 nowadays :(

lol i do own a runner, and a rs 125, and have owned aeroxs and syms and all sorts.

it was just an idea but when it comes to bang for buck a runner will hold its value and give the best power with the parts avalible for tuning.

the reason id say leave the zip is its new, and if you want to sell it later on a standard zip will be easier to flog then a ragger and tuned 70. but you will enjoy 70 ing it and the fun of riding the upped power that and if its your daily transport and things go wrong you will be mad you fettled haha

as for runners being shit and pricey to repair? yer ok i lol at your knowledge chubz, come on seriously they are just as costly to tune as any other ped and just as easy to fix and kill as any other 2 stroke!

Too many bodged and abused ones about IMO which is why some people think they go wrong a lot. They're atleast as reliable as a 50 theres plenty about that haven't been messed with that have done 20k+. And the parts couldn't exactly cost the same as a 50 lol?

The fact that a decent 70 kit for an aerox is about 140.... and a big bore for a 125 runner is about 200+

Depends how much power the italkit has, But I'd your on about an aerox the maxiumum rev range that the standard crank will hold is about 13,000rpm maybe abit less, The most you could put on a standard crank would probably be the polini sport pro, Stage 6 streetrace, depends what kind of kit the italkit is aswell, May need cases flowed to match the performance the kit gives out
