What are the best rollers for a TNT sports exhaust because my ped takes forever to get to top end wif the exhaust ???
you need to be a bit specific NO one can answer that question with how you've just put it. you need t give a list of your bikes spec. so what bike. what mods. lots of things have some impacts. probably not revving high enough because you havent upjetted or chnaged rollers after fitting your pipe.
dont post like this please... theres a million pages wiht "what rollers do i need" nobody can tell you.. read the roller guide and buy some scales
ok it has no mods part from 6.5 rollers and been upjetted to a 60 but it pulls off really slow sorry bout all the short stuff

Theres your answer, Miles too heavy, Performance exhausts are higher revving than the standard exhaust (powerband at higher rpm) thus lower rollers are needed to snatch the powerband and keep it going through the gears, Too heavy rollers put the bike into a higher gear too early, and will stay a slow speed until it slowly creaps up into the powerband, Lower rollers will keep it going strong through the powerband all the way through (Finding it hard to explain can you tell?) When i select rollers, i like to keep the revs the same all the way up, so it doesnt go "Neeeeeeeeeeeee Nurrrrrrrrrrrr Neeeeeeeeeeeeee" something like that and just goes Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee all the way through, I have a NRG Extreme, Doppler S3R with x3 3.5gr and x3 4.0gr rollers oh, and had a stressful time with rollers, trying to find the right spot, If i were you, i'd get a Stage6 set, its 4 sets of rollers for just over a tenner (eBay sells them) use the roller guide to find the right dimensions of the rollers you need and go from there, The first thing i can say, is get a set of Stage6, 2.5gr, 3.0gr, 3.5gr and 4gr. Thats what i did, tried them all, i found 4, was great, put pull away was a little slow and sometimes hesitated, i found 3.5 the same, but lost some speed, 3.0gr hit the rev limiter at 10,000rpm and i lost alot, so i tried 3.0 and 3.5 combo, removed the limiter problem, but was topping out at 40mph. now i got a 3.5 and 4.0 combo, and i'm hitting 55+ on flat and 60-70 downhill (Speedo speed) Best thing for you to do is get he set like i said, ill list it as i doubt your even read this :yahoo: 1 - Performance exhaust need lighter rollers to hit the powerband quicker 2 - 6.6gr is standard, miles too heavy, To fix this, read step 3 :good: 3 - Buy a Stage6 set of 4 rollers, i reccommend 2.5gr, 3.0gr, 3.5gr and 4.0gr as this SHOULD be abooooot right (availible from eBay etc) :good: 4 - Remember to read Minors roller sizes guide, and get the Right dimensions of your rollers *MOST IMPORTANT STEP!!!* 5 - Play and play with them until its all kooshty, Have fun!!! :good: *Rest's fingers.....*
No problems mate! Have fun! Is the problem pulling away? or does it just take an age to get up to speed?
JamesNRG has helped you out alot there bud. pretty much summarised what minor has wrote. might need to change your clutch springs for better pull away mate
Okay yes that sounds like mine did, and still does. The pulling issue is due to Clutch springs i believe, your need stronger springs for the clutch to engage at a lower rpm, at the minute, mine engages as soon as i pull the throttle, and then sllowwwlllyyyy creaps to 6,000rpm and bam! powerband and its all sweet, for springs (if you have standard clutch) they sell a set of 3 or 4 springs for about 10-15 pound, and as minor said somewhere, they say what RPM it will engage, as for the top end, Rollers, so get the rollers sorted, then sort your clutch springs and be a happy man :good:
No probs, I stand corrected, standard clutch springs are nine pound for 3, What they do, is changes the rate the clutch bites, mine is 4,000 i think. But i need about 6,000 so it hits the powerband as i move.
stiffer clutch springs mean the clutch engages at a higher rpm. thus with a sports exhaust the power is at higher revs. therefore when you fit a proper sports exhaust you need stiffer springs to allow the bike to rev before pulling away. i had blue malossi springs in my standard aerox clutch not sure if they will be good for you. im pretty sure in the box of malossi springs. you have 3 colours. green blue and red. green is the weakest and red the stiffest. i fitted blue and mine went well.
