What oil in the final drive

    Hi got the Italjet Velocifero stripped and awaiting bearings and seals,Thought Id top up n change the final drive oil.Is it extreme pressure 80-90 or something lighter?
    BTW I cant find a Manual anywhere for this machine,Any clues on that front lads?

    i use CASTROL EP Gear Oil SAE 80W 90 API GL4.i think silkolene do one aswell.

    80w 90 in 50's usually. but a typh 125 should have 85w 90 (slightly heavier)

    ahh the man in the shop told me to use the 80/90w gonna collar him on moday lol.

    my runner 200 uses 80/90 so im sure it wont kill it

    ye it wont hurt... just the slightly thicker oil works a little better in the bigger gearbox's.. id guess the 4t's all use a little more oil and have a diff shape gearbox, meaning the oil works better, meaning it doesent have to be so thick.


    but ye, 80w 90 will be fine for most things.. ive used it in 125's, i was just saying piaggio recomend 85w90 for the 125 2t engines.
