Hello, my beloved nrg is being sold tommorow simply because it's had a good run and it's time to say goodbye and move onto another project, i'm kind of new to tuning etc, and the nrg was my first moped i'm thinking of getting a piaggio zip but i'm not to sure as a few people have said there bad to tune and wont get very fast.

i have like 700 to spend on a moped, then i can put alot of work into it over time

so what would you suggest, great running looks good?

the most popular engines to tune are Minarelli and Piaggio/Gilera theres loads of parts online and they can be tuned to over 20bhp, minarelli engines are perfect you find them in yamaha Noe's, earox's and Jog R's aswell as other older peds like malaguti's firefox and phantom, there well made engines and easy to build/moddify. or you could tune a piaggio/gilera engine (fitted in aprillia's gilera's piaggio's) probably the most popular engine to tune and theres absolutely loads of different parts and setups to choose from.

When buying a scooter/bike you need to know the basics like if its got a body kit theres a good chance its been in an crash or down the road so stay clear from aftermarket panel kits, make sure its got reasonable brakes and tyres and also i dont like to buy anything thats already been modded as the previous owner was probably a lazy monkey with a spanner trust me iv seen it all.

Totally upto you just dont buy a speedshite if your looking to tune it.. there useless!
