I've never had a scooter before, but after working on one for the last week or so, wondered about getting one.

Seen this Kymco locally for £200.

Anyone tell the model from these pics?

None runner, well it cranks over, no kick start... been removed. Had 70 cc kit fitted. So been worked on. so yes, lots of potential problems there.

Owner says it does start with a jump start battery, and is OK with me taking it home to my workshop to get it started before buying.

He seems to think electrical problens.

    Kymco Agility??
The handlebars have been customised as it's not the correct top end.
Plenty of spares available as it is a generic Chinese type.
Just google Chinese motorcycle spares or Kymco spares as quite a few companies specialise in Chinese spares.
    Cheap as well .
The flip up backrest is good if you have a bad back lol

Taiwanese, not Chinese ! These are brilliant scooters when running and looked after, this look's a turd and need's a wide birth, there's plenty on the bay for similar money in far better condition.

Kymco is a Taiwanese brand, but that bike looks fucked and poorly taken care of I would keep looking.

I no longer differentiate as Chinese quality is much better than it was a few years ago. Even Piaggios are made in China.
I'll call them Far Eastern in future lol

The rear seat release is on the L/H side at the seat pivot, a simple round black push button, front seat I'm sure is off the ignition switch? just turn to the left, don't push down.

That is what I thought, but after taking the front panel off. could see ignition had no cable release.

Then I saw another key hole on LHS just under back edge of front seat

gonna give it back to the owner.
Took it out on the road - and got maybe 28-30 mph out of it in the flat. For 70cc with 22 mm carb and the pipe it has on it, going to need a load of work as expected to get it going well.
Drive belt side cover has only 2 allen screws holding it in... The remainder are snapped off inside or threads in housing are stripped.

As expected , from its looks, it does need much work. I'll stick to my Harley !
