Bought a Liquid Cooled Aprilia SR 50 Replica just before crimbo, came with what looked like a brand new Leovince ZX exhaust but apart from that looked completely standard, have since bought and fitted a Polini Cast 70 Kit & Malossi E5 Airfilter and finally got it somewhere near running yesterday, have had a bit of a tweak to get it ticking over.
Left it for about 10 minutes to warm itself up, tried to have a go on it earlier and it will pull off if you give it little blips of the throttle but if you just try to open the throttle as usual it just tries to die, had a quick go giving it blips and had the plug out which suggests its running lean.
I haven't changed the carb yet so its still running the stock 12mm Mikuni with a 70 Jet.
Any ideas on what jet I should try? Or would I be best using my Kiesler adapter, a piaggio manifold and 17.5/19mm Dellorto carb?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

this is the problkem with people running peds with pipes.. its not lean, its rich an the rollers are way too heavy. if it was lean it would rev but be verry quiet ands have no power. dying out at full throttle is rollers

When I took the plug out it was that dingy grey colour which I presume meant it was lean, I'll try playing with rollers and see if it helps.

    it will....
get the rollers right with a rich ass jet. will run rich or lean, dying out at full throttle is ALWAYS rollers or compression

I'll have to wip out the rollers and see if the ones that should have came with the exhaust have already been fitted as I never thought to check.
Cheers for the help Minor ;)
