70cc kit, carb, variator, exhaust, but I have been waiting for a suitable carb to go with the package for 2 months, as so much time has passed I asked for a refund.
I don't know! the police told me that he admitted doing it and that the matter was sent to the court, but I don't know any more than that, he probably go off with it, I have seen this family get off with much more that that.
so whats so special that you have to get it from Poland.ebays full of sites that can do a carb for that set up.£40 ish. I got a 19mm for£30 off extreme imports...ped parts, racing planet, childrenaline pedstop, petrol scooters,loads..all good dealers.if you need help with it and its from Poland and don't work..may cost more to fix than a good uk kosher one and a man who speaks the same lingo.
70cc ain't a moped..its a motorcycle.below50cc is a moped,gears or not.if you got it registered as 70 then no prob.most don't tell the dvlA .my chink 50 was £17 for a year.
Check out gov.co....VCA, did'nt have time to look deeply, has motorcycle rates on there.......but- noticed a 'special' vehicle classifacation down the bottom/page as well.
ok, its not a moped, so the tax will be higher, I'm not so worried about the tax or insurance increase, its all the bother to change it which will mean that I will lose my no claims bonus for this year and I will have to change the log book details, god knows what that entails, probably months of paper work and the bike off the road until its all been done.
Don't think paperwork's gonna be the worst of you're worries...... someone correct me if i'm wrong, but would think you'd need a re-classifying VOSA inspection, eek.
Did you see one of the T.V cop programs the other night, there were about 5 young boys on mopeds and a motorcycle cop pulled them over and checked everything including the size of the engine and the speed that the ped could do, that is all you need to ruin your life, that’s what bothers me about not informing the DVLA but they don’t make it easy, you only need one nasty bastard.
Hum…. this is what I mean, what is a re-classification VOSA inspection anyway, it looks like its leading to what I said, lots and lots of bother, it took me 8 weeks to change my private number plate on my car, which had to be off the road for that length of time
mmmmm.im in India at the moment.wont be back to uk till July, don't have tv.if you hoon about long enough, plod will have a blitz.im an old fart and ride a chink but its gonna have a bigger barrel when i get back with a few bits to perk it up..theres a few little cdi add ons that switch your top speed off.but if you tell all the authorities the ins and outs of mods most people have....theyde never afford the insurance.a standard chink for me is £130 a year t.p only. A 1988 vision 50. £80 fully comp..im 54. Car license..
Don't think there's any tax difference till you hit a big cc stage.that vosa test is a bstard.they test it like its a s.v.a test.they find something that they don't like or not comply with the rules.they could have it off the road.
From what I got a while back,simples- You've taken something that's designed in a certain way, with standard features, changed part of it,an they wanna see if they can deny you that right..,........ they just wanna see if it's o.k. to use according to legal mandates, you have'nt created something dangerous.- Scenario:- You put a 100/125 engine in a 50 chassis, could the chassis handle it considering it was designed for a 50,etc.etc.etc.+ they'll probaly find a few more etc's.
Pre 1973 = no., After,an you don't declare it (speedo correctness,non-withstanding) = ILLEGAL.,unless it's NOT on a public road.
