we all like to have the best parts for our scooters, as we like them to be clean, but sometimes you have to wait until they arrive or you need something to get you home. until such times a temporary repair is needed which might be from an unlikely source. post any brainwaves here.

the breather plug from the engine fell off, a stone or something got into the variator and shattered the fan. the fan arrived next day, but still a couple of days til the plug arrived. made use of a lid from a tin of salmon paste,

this paste :) ha. it was a bit tight, drilled some holes in it, taped some sponge over it and taped to the engine. it held long enough until the new one arrived.

Off road, got a puncture, middle of nowhere so I cut a slit in the tyre and filled & packed the whole tyre with soil then wrapped tape round the cut. Got me back to the truck.

Ive used a small redbull can jubilee clipped to my exhaust silencer when the carbon fiber decided to crack open.
My worst one would if had to be superglueing my spark plug in as the threads stripped out. Got a few miles out of it still.

used my aunties bicycle wheel spindle for an exhaust mounting bolt when the old one fell off.
