what is a good aftermarket exhaust for my sm50 2012 (geared)

    hi, was just wondring if anyone could tell me what a good aftermarket pipe is? and also if a upjetted 22mm carb would be okay thanks!

    dont bother with a 22mm on a 50, especially a geared one.

    how about a 17.5? would this still give it enough power?

    yea 17.5 would be good, anything bigger and you start losing airflow

    by airflow, i mean the air being pulled through the carb by the engine.
    anything over 17.5 and a 50cc cant really pull enough air through to get good flow, so you just end up with a load of slow moving air with petrol drops init.

    think of it as breathing through a range of pipes... too small and you cant breathe fully, too big and you dont get any flow through the end.

    you might get away with a 19 if you redline the bike everywhere

    okay thanks, also would brilling out the baffles add to the power!?

    in some 2t pipes (derbi senda, tzr 50) there is a front baffle that acts as a restrictor, take that off and see how it runs

    Hey, I Have same bike.....

    Buy a Technigas Enox Exhaust and take the baffler out you'll be loving it trust :p

    just de drestricted my exhaust, changed the front sprocket to a 14tooth and im also going to change the rear sprocket also the carb has been upjetted. what is a good but cheap exhaust? and would i need to upjet again because of the new exhaust? cheers
