Hey guys, cold weather's here and setting off for work sometimes before 5.30am and my hands, are FREEZING! I want some MX style gloves ideally however bloke at the bike shop said not to really bother as it won't make any difference. Just wondering if you guys have any advice? Was tempted to get some MX style gloves & get some inners but would be pissed off if I bought them & didn't really make any difference haha. Any & all replies welcome, cheers guys!
moto x gloves arent designed for keeping your hands warm in arctic conditions, so the motor bike shop man was right. i have 2 pairs of gloves, 1 pair are unlined (summer use) my other pair are proper winter motor bike gloves what youve got to remember is, if its around 0 degrees centigrade out side, riding at just 40 mph will mean the wind chill factor will be like -15 degrees on your hands which are out in the breeze
Yeah noticed that earlier when I nipped up the road, come back & hands hurt! I know the Moto X gloves aren't designed for this sort of weather but was just sort of wondering if there was some sort of a compromise as if I'm honest I don't want some huge clunky gloves that give no feeling at all. However this sort of weather, no gloves is not an option! So using some old ones found earlier for the moment, they're horrible but should do the job!
I work less than 1 mile away from home, and for the last 3 days ive arrived at work with numb fingers, so numb they sting.. Fuck knows how Im gonna get to brighton this weekend.. But my gloves are cheapo shite and have holes in anyways. You need inner liners, and a good pair of expencive winter motorbike gloves, heated grips would work a treat too along with motox style hand guards.. You cant do much more than that to keep you warm without driving a car.
