Should i use primary or secondary gear up kit, for my mbk rovket minarelli vertical ,and also can you use both?
You only need one gear up kit. The gearbox all combines to make one gear. You change the ratio of either the primary or the secondary to make the gearing longer. You will only need a small increase on a sport set-up. It's normally best to go for prepressed primary gears as it's easier to fit.
reading you sig specs, if set up right a small gear-up ratio will give you more speed and lazy cruising. But with less spec, what tends to happen, is bike isn't too bad in picking up speed, but hit some heavy wind and unless the torque control is set up spot on, the bike becomes a slug. As said, pre-pressed primary gears can be in place and riding in. less than an hour. As for the whine off the straight cut gears, after 30-40, sounds like a super-charger spooling up.
Ive just watched a video of someone swapping out gears, seems pretty simple to do and you can also check the CVT system for wear and change rollers etc whilst its all apart
