what does this do is it a restrictor ??

hi, can somebody please tell me what this is as i havent got a clue its not my cdi as thats on the seat this was next to my oil tank and it says ducati energia on it. couple of my friends have got aerox but non of them have this on it or even have the extra bracket on there frrames my aerox is a 2007 on a 56 plate can someone please help................ is it a restrictor

 

well try unconnect it and see if your bike eve starts without it?

Looks exactly like my cdi, and is in the same place. Are you sure the thing on your seat is the cdi? and pictures?

Ducati do alot of the cdi's for peds, im 99% sure thats your cdi,

 

its not a coil , aeroxes have a coil under right z panel it looks like one of them coils that goes on 125 2t peds, i think this is cdi , i got one aswell , but not sure what is that box thing on the seat i know what r u talking about
