Hello Guyz I own a nrgmc2 lc and i want to install a top performance cast iron kit (48mm bore) and i want you to suggest me what crankshaft do you recommend to use with the current kit? Also carb and a fine set up not anything special Thanks in advance Cheers :clapping:
bgm if your after sommin cheap.. polini evo if you dont mind spending money. wouldent bother wiht any other aftermarket crank tbh.. ive ran many a ported ali kit on stock cranks for years (my rms is a pattern type crank, stock wiht a better bearing better conrod and thats about it, has outlasted 4 kits already and still strong)
Thanks for the answer minor The reason im repairing the whole engine is that it wont start after a heavy rain and when i removed the reedblock and put it back it everytime i hit the kickstart or the electric starter a sound like scratching something comes out...I think its the crankshaft bearings or the barrel f**Ed ...Anyway so will it be better to get stronger bearings and standard crank ?or just a bgm crank (im about to spend 100-110euros i think thats nearly 100 pounds ..so among doppler and others should i prefer bgm or the standard with better bearings?
nope, c4's are better bearings but alot harder to fit.. i personally wont use anything but c3 steel race bearings (the c4's are plastic and a fucking pain to get a crank in without melting them) dont get me wrong, you can get a crank in just fine, i prefer to not use a hammer tho... so ye, stock ntn type bearings are the ones for me (just make sure there metal)
ok but as i checked i couldnt find any bearings c4 and crankshaft on scooterattack and scooter center :/ thanks for the help minor if you know any store providing them let me know mate cause im gonna order em ...
hey man... ive got an RMS crank in mine.. its a cheapie, but seems to be holding up. as for bearings... i just got a kit from scooter centre that had the seals and some SKF bearings in them... so far they are doing the trick... they have done about 6000km (round 3750mi) so far.
Rms crank ? never heard of that dude ...6000 are good dude if you can send me any links or your msn to show me the items on the shops i was thinking of matching top crank +top kit but if theres a better solution let me know
these are the bearings... (these are the ones i got the the ET2)...BGM just repackage them: http://scooter-center.com/scoweb/pa...BELWELLE:CAT_KURBELWELLE_LAGERSATZ&cid=245398 and... this looks like the crank im using: http://scooter-center.com/scoweb/pa...T200&category2=CAT:CAT_KURBELWELLE&cid=245356
Guyz i have a problem here, people say crankshafts stroke shouldbe 39mm and something about the small end diameter on the conrod ...I just want a crankshaft which can be fitted to the bike without doing anything and to fit the piston ( small end diameter)im talking about nrg mc2 lc and top performance cast iron kit . im afraid to buy any crankshaft ...If anybody knows for sure about a crankshaft thats totally fitted without any grinding or i dont know ...Just like the standard one fit and go... If u have any clue let me know please :amen: Thank you
Mate i dont get you..What i meant was that ,i cant measure the new crankshaft since im buying it online and it doesnt mention any dimensions :/ i know my crankshafts dimensions ! :beg:
ohhh gotcha.... i email questions through to the people at scooter center.... sometimes they dont understand, but their english is pretty good.
stock is 39 stroke wiht a 10mm gudgion pin.... some pistons run a 12mm pin, if you buy a 12mm pin crank they usually come wiht a down stepper bearing anyway ()meaning you can runn a 10mm piston on a 12mm conrod) look what size your piston has.. order the same crank.. sorted
