reet i thinking about getting a 1999 gilera runner sp but it has an electric problem and this is what the lad told me ( Engine starts with the kick start but not with the electric start. So it's either a problem with the electric starter or the bike may need a new battery ) which one do you think it is or coukld it be sumthink else ??
Doesnt sound like anything major, Make sure everything else works I'd check the brake light first,, If it doesnt work its a simple fix (the little switches are notorious for dying)
if the break lights work try pressing the button while the engine is running. if it makes a clicking sound its probably the starter motor, if theres no clicking the relay is at fault
anything from the cost of a light bulb (35p) to the cost of a new startermotor (wich i have many of so forget the 100 quid piaggio want)
the problem is thinking about buying it. seriously though, electrics on a scooter are soooo simple, a monkey could be trained to wire it.
you'd think so ay..... not many people i know are good with wiring. its sommin you ether get or just goes over your head i think
