Mazda MX5 MK1 SE. Only 200 made all were in black, full tan leather, solid wood steering wheel, hand break and gear knob, ABS which is good for its age. Near 50:50 weight distribution, rear wheel drive. It came with a retro fit hard top as well as the original soft top. Sweet car for the money, would put pics on but don't know how.

Had it from new and has just done 39000 this week my other is a Toyota Corolla GT twincam (AE86)1987 that I inherited from my dad who bought it new. Thats done 57000 http://www.stigsdump.co.uk/html/twincam_coupe.htm Also have a RG125F 1995 thats being rebuilt from frame up for my son http://www.stigsdump.co.uk/html/rg125_fu.html and then theres my FZR1000R EXUP (1990) thats done 16000 ...I've had that since 1999 am the third owner and its done 16000 in total
was built when escorts were plentyfull. surely more fun the a stock escort though tbh but no sideways action due to shorter wheelbase.
It was £11,250 new in 1987 but paid cash and they knocked a grand off so actually paid £10,250. In the last 3 years I've seen 2 go for £10K but haven't seen another on the road locally in the last 10 years This was at a time when the best thing about was the XR3i which sold new for £7500'ish
agreed, when the insurance for the hot hatches went mental in 1990 (i'd JUST bought a Renault 5GT Turbo and the insurance trippled over night) you could buy a good second hand cossie for 3500 hock:
i got a 07 touran tdi 6 speed face lift we had 2 cars but was getting pricey, one was a 2000 mk4 golf gt tdi 130 ps 6 spd (one of my favs) and the other was an audi a4 tdi 2003 now we have one nice newish car and my 2006 nrg
Mondeo Mk3 TDCI 130. Have stuck an airtec intercooler on it, decat, forge hoses and tuning box so its around 160-170bhp now with bags of torque. Should be going in next month to be dropped on 50mm springs/Bilstein shox. After that a new gearbox lol
there good cars mate i can remember top gear rating them these new diesels engines are magic, i would never go back to a petrol car
Got me a 1994 toyota starlet fully race built by me .Have had her for 8 years now with no intentions to sell
Totally agree. This is actually my 4th one now - had 2 x 1.8 Petrols and 1 x 2.2 TDCI before it. The 2.2 was an early Titanium X with the ST bodykit and diamondcut wheels...amazing car but had a bad leak into the cabin when it rained...only traded it in as the girlfriend needed something better than her Corsa 1.4. This 2.0 TDCI Mondeo is as good IMO though - sure its not got the toys but its more understated, cheaper and just as quick...18" wheels really slow the 2.2's down as they're 5kgs more per corner and larger OD. Its going in tomorrow to be dropped 50mm now. That'll do me until end of next year at which point i might get something else...don't know what i'd replace it with though as theres nothing that really grabs me. Hmmm...maybe a Focus ST but i can see myself replacing my damaged gearbox and running this thing until it dies...
yer much more torque in a diesel and more reliable if re-mapped there are some places offering a re-mapp with guaranteed fuel improvement or your money back and a lifetime guarantee with the mapp
