Hello there, my father has been preparing my ped now for a while for my 16th birthday. It's a Peugeot Squab air cooled obviously. He begun with the frame and stripping the bike down and has since recoated the frame blue and stripped unnecessary parts from the bike. For example the centre stand has been replaced with a side stand. Have since then put it all back together and have begun putting the engine mods on the bike. These include: 70cc Cylinder Kit Polini Variator & Rollers (7g I think) Polini 19mm carb Reed block Kevlar drivebelt Yet to do the exhaust and air filter and are still wondering which is the best options for both. Would just like to know what maximum speed can roughly be achieved with this setup... Thanks, Spence.
realistic 45-55 TRUE speed. mabue 60+ on the clocks will be pretty impressive on acceleration when setup perfectly though, and yes 7g rollers are fairly heavy, try some lighter 5's -5.5's
Thanks for the input there guys much appreciated, 60-65 sounds good :w00t: Also, what rollers would you recommend to put on, and any ideas on exhausts & air filters? Ninja Edit: Okay 5-5.5's thanks.
fact is 50cc gearing only realy allows 50-55 MAX like going in first gear on a bigger bike...you can only physically go so fast..
Haha, nope I don't weight 72 stone! I'm almost 16, tall and skinny imp: The main reason for me asking this question is due to my friend owning a "Peugeot XR6", which is de-restricted with a Gianelli exhaust on it, I know it's liquid cooled also. Mainly, I just want to have a faster bike than his I'm trying to work out viable ways of doing this and I'm sure you guys have a better idea of the speed of his bike than he does!
sports 70 set ups dont really go much faster than piped up 50"s top speed... But they get there a hell of a lot quicker though...and dont die as much going up hill and into headwinds
