im building a 2 stroke 172 ac engine at the moment that needs to look as much like a standard 50 engine as possible whilst still being fast .
im using a typh engine with

pm crank(i got it free and only 100 miles on it i no i built the bike )
    172 kit
    28 mm carb and manifold
    mhr reed block
    clutch springs
    contra spring
    lightened pulley
    lightened fly wheel
    lightened clutch bell
    no oil pump
    no electric strart
    modded 50 cc air box
    malossi sponge
    standard pipes
    flowed cases
    widened transfers
    matched cases to kit
    gear up
and i wasnt sure about a derezzed cdi as im not sure the pipe will allow it to rev very high anyway

what kind of rev range and power will a standard pipe allow me to reach .and is there any way of making a stadard pipe perform any better .im sure some people will cuss me for tuning up a bike and keeping a standard pipe and a 50 air box on it but i have a job now and money and ahve wanted a stealthy bike for a while so why fukin not lol. if i ever get bored i shall just rip the pipe off put a 172 pipe on it and a modded 125 airbox and gain somemore speed but WHAT DO YOU THINK POSSIBLe
