Id say get a old shape nrg, get a fresh rear shock when you get it mot'd and some runner vx forks. Runner carb, 70 polini sport (powerful enough to wheelie about and beat peds off the line but reliable enough to use for college and work runs.

Or an aerox :blackeye: because of your size your about 5 foot 6 like me and a aerox is a nice bike for your height and looks good too.

NRG if you have abit of a budget, pick up a nice project for 200 and spend about 300 getting it on road and looking sick and fast.

    :amen:

see i was thinking a zip! get a crank, 70kit, variator, clutch, 21mil carb, pm pipe and a cdi. but look at getting a zip for like 300 then i have 600 to do upp, but then again i like the old shape nrg idea but im not that kean on the shapes! i could just buy a new engine like 2ndhand one and put all my parts on but get a crank, and 70 and carb, then if i realy want more power cdi and all the rest,
a boy offerd me £900 for my sr today lol i said that i will have too see lol

Hang on you'd rather a fisher price air cooled zip over a liquid cooled nrg?

watch that and tell me you don't like shape of nrg,

tbh id go with the zip or typh over nrg i like nrg front pans but thats it and thers less to go rong with ac's no full rebuild when the bastard water pump goes etc etc and zips are light so will be fast have a nose about on ebay etc and try find a nice cheap one thats a non runner then completely redo the engine crank n all

but how fast would you say a tuned up 50 zip will go?
and how fast wil a 70 and crank zip go?
that nrg is nice but then how much would that cost?

I got the a ac nrg for 400. for me to make it look like that with a paintjob and a polini sport will be about 500. Including carb ect and runner wheels and fresh disk and vx forks. But if you were to buy a ac nrg that needs a new top end and a little tlc you could save 200.

Just a thought but your nrg as a project might be off road for a while so it would be worth buying a running nrg tbh. unless you know what your doing and can get them fitted quickly and properly so your not off road for months.

The ac nrg will go just as fast as the zip and you won't look like gary glitter

depends what u tune it for and with u can tune it for acceleration and it will be a wheely machine you can tune it for top speed and itll be fast you can tune it in the middle for decent accel and top end
zip will always be abit faster better then the nrg tho as its abit lighter i believe as is an ac engine lighter then lc you can turn it into a wheely machine with a 50kit some rollers a pipe or you can go the whole way and crank 70kit pipe and a carb which still isnt massively expencive carb u can prolly get a second hand 125 20.5 carb for 20-30 kit u can prolly get one for under hundred quid crank not far off that probs tune it 2 a good 70 for around 300-350

baits on point but yeah it's the same engine just the zip is smaller (gears?) but your choice really im same size as you and nrg is conformtable lots of growing room and easy to wheelie (light front end no lc bs)

iv got a converted 125 2t zip and i can lift the whole bike of the floor its so light (yeah i eat my greens mum  )

a nrg weighs about the same as a typh if not more and i have one of those also and the typhoon is far heavier then the zip.

id personally get what ever's cheapest and will have me of the road for the least amount of time.

if swapping the engine on your sr is the cheapest route and you like the sr then do that,

if some ones offering you £900 for your bike and you dont mind the wait till your 17 (or just be naughty) then sell it and get a 172.

or if you want to stay with a 70 but what a change of bike model then get the zip or nrg, the weight difference is going to make major impact as your not racing, or running it down a drag strip your stunting, and if you can wheelie a sr you can wheelie both of the piaggio bikes ;)

omg man how hard was it to convert a zip to a 125?
i would love to doo that,
also i can wheelie pretty much eny bike thta i get on, old shape nrg, newshape, standard sr, speedfight.
i realy dont no but i would love a zip 172 would be a dream, in a 50 frame you can keep it regisered as a 50 too so i could just raggo that around like now!

to talk you though it (don't pm minor if your sensitive to online abuse ;) )
