I'm not sure on what scooter/bike I should get next.... My was thinking about a Derbi senda but my brother said a DT50 would be more reliable ;s I kinda wanna go down the geared path now because I wanna geared 125 when I'm 17
yeh wen im done with ma ped im gunna go geared looks abit more fun in my opinion, and yeh i like the dt50s theyre nice
I wish a had my ped now Geared will be fun for like a month until i'm sick xD But you only live once and I was board of my aerox in anyways I like the DT's but derbi's look ok to... Really really really hard to find in my area been looking for ages now
wish i had my aerox too it just broke, head gasket went i think n then it over heated and one of the piston rings was like welded to the piston so im not sure wat to do, get rid n get a geared or put a 70 on it been on ma mates geared bikes and i think there well fun :w00t:
I'd keep it standard if I was you! I'd rather be sitting atm 50mph all the time then still on a chair in the house because your ped is broke Trust me its boring :'(
ALL geared 50's will have been ragged btw, 16 year olds with no clue own them. they go pretty much the same speed as a 50 scoot yet all that changing does wear. mate had an 06 rs 50, had to have the engine changed twice. And i do mean engine, complete thing swapped.
dont bother with any thing italian OR EUROPEAN trust me i have done my homework on this shit many times before buy nothing but jap if you want a geared 50 fuck the geared 50 tbh mate i thought of doing it for a while but whats the fucking point in evading 10 -20 quid a months less insurance when you could have potentially 5 times more hp just by destricting a 125 instead of a 50.... put it this way a dt50 with an am6 engine (if it uses them these days wil see you doing 4bhp most probably destricted and it would fucking scream its fanny off at 60mph get a dtr125 or a kmx 125 destricted and you will be looking at at least 20bhp just destricted they wil both do about 85 no problems both have 6 speed gearboxes however the dtr has steel lined barrels whereas the kmx barrel stock has a chromium type nikel sleeve thing inside which is costly if you seize your engine and damaged it a dtr can be rebored a kmx cant unles you fit a steel liner ( i have a steel liner in need of a rebore myself) tuning wise a kmx can be easily converted to a 200cc monster with a kmx200 barrel fitted and a kmx 200 exhaust that will see you doing speeds of 95+mph which is FUCKING FAST on an enduro bike a dtr at the moment i am aware of has only 1 big bore kit available from the company who stage6 bum, athena and they are £440 new LOL so in a nut shell kmx'es are better because they cost less to tune £ for hp and also the kmx powervalve unit is superior to YAM's YPVS system as it works in a better way as yam pisses about with electronics and servos buy a nice kmx 125 with less than 10k on the clock and you deffo wont regret it , youll save your self loads to rather than tuning up a shitty dt50 or a RS50 too fuck geared 50s hey are poxy, more unreliable than a 125 and slower and also look SHIT when youve changed gear 3 times to get to 30mph get a 125 2t from japan
I'm only 16 I don't want another scooter, they seem to fuck up a lot as well unless you buy them almost new... So would a DT50 be the best choice?
i wouldnt bother any geared 50 are gutless and slow and have to keep them above the boil to go ANYWHERE trust me im not just saying this as i hoped for one when i was 16 instead of a ped ive rode an rx50 and a reiju matric rs2, both use the minarelli am6 engine and both had to be ridden HAAAAAARRRRD to go anywhere i remember when i had a go of the rx50 after pissing about after 4 weeks on my mtx and i had to redline the rx50 to move?? seriously and the gearing was all standard it was pretty shocking my advice dont bother, wait a little longer till your 17 pal (trust me it will come sooner than u think) and blow all your life spendings on a jap 125 and you WILL not regret it a tiny bit dt50s are a waste of time just money pits
