Just wonderin what bikes do every 1 get after mopeds? Im 17 in june nd doin my full bike test(cant wait) :w00t: Nd im thinkin of gettin a Aprilia RS 125, watcha think?
an rs 125 will over take any bigger bike restricted to 33bhp. im doing my full test in june. and im keeping my 172 til the 33bhp restrcition os over.
yer plus a bigger bike restricted is gona make my insurace go up (thats what my dad said anyway arc: )lol so any1 on ere got an RS125 or no any1 with 1?They any good?
Oh i dont want a bigger bike:L Id rather have a 125 now nd keep tha till im 19 then the beasts are coming my way
I did my test at 17 and kept a 180 runner (to save on buying a new bike, insurance, restrictor kits etc) till the restriction was over and I'm now the proud owner of a CBR 600
RD350, never been questioned, also priced up RSVs and theres no problems with restrictors. get a dyno graph showing the bike peaking at 32bhp. just shut the throttle after that.
i no some one selling a rs 125 bit of crash damge bent brack leaver and scratchs down 1 side pm me for more info
very true, a restricted 600 will weigh getting on for twice what the RS weighs and will produce the same power (give or take 2 bhp) therefore the RS ould be the quicker bike.
hpo an torque nare 2 diff things.. torque governs acceleration and the 600 will have FUCKLOADS more than the 125 regardless of hp
very true but the 600 will be increadibly bad on top speed and won't feel right, the 125 will be the more fun and will feel how it should. i would rather have an rs 125 than a restricted 600 (unless i was whipping the restrictors out )
ye deffo, restricted bikes are like decaf coffee... wtf is the point.. 600 will usually out accelerate a 125 2t tho even restricted.. but ye, swings an roiundabouts still and id rather just do a real test than a restricted licence
unfortunately its not an option for most of us, ah well my "restriction" is lifted in a couple of months (like its gonna make any difference).
