    hi guys,

i need to get a cheapish bike alarm for my sons bike for while his bike is in the school car part to make sure the other kids don't damage it and to make sure on one tries to take it,

i have had a quick look on ebay and other places and can pick up a self install alarm that connects direct to the battery via only 2 wires and is just a vibration sensor alarm. like this http://www.motorbikealarm.co.uk/sho...ly-2-wire-connections-for-simple-diy-install/

does anyone have this or does anyone know if these alarms are ok?

my sons bike is not worth £1000s so i dont want to start spending hundreds to get and alarm and get it fitted. i have seen some for about £30 as well like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCL...73?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item54033dcbc5 but again i am not sure how good they are and i am concerned i wont be able to fit it myself.

    any recommendations?

    Not being funny mate,
but the only way you're going to ensure that does'nt happen (esp.when some find out, you've taken steps),

I have a DIY Alarm from ebay for about £18 and it works really well. i have 2 remotes for it and it is actually really loud, as you said it works with vibration sensor and you can adjust the sensivity with the remote. really worth the price as it gives you extra security.

i had one of those cheap 30 quid alarms, that was great, cyclone or something was the make, on my runner i had a meta alarm (very expensive but worth the money if you have an expensive bike)

might be a good idea to get intouch with stevep, he can probably supply and install one for you, going to get him to do mine, atleast itll be done properly lol

cyclone alarms are good but anything off ebay would do the job, wire in a extra hidden killswitch too just make sure only you and your son know where its located, that way thieving sods cant start it if they nick it unless they find it
