It's highly likely. A good spark should be bright blue. Check your electrical connections to the CDI unit and to the coil, especially the earth lead, as well as check the gap of the spark plug. One thread asking for help is enough, by the way.
Your point is...? That doesn't mean anything, as you've just found out. A new CDI attached to dodgy wiring will still be dodgy. I said check the CONNECTIONS to the CDI, not the CDI itself. If you think you are cleverer than me, then why are you asking for help?
