Hey there guys, This question will proberly have a simple answer, but thought I'd make sure I don't mess my bike up. To the question... I want to spray my water pump cover sometime soon, but no entirely sure how to remove it. Im guessing a few bolts, but if I do this will stuff leak everly where, or is it merely just a cover? Thanks in advance!
Also, would it be a lot of hassle to spray the rear shock? I've seen it done on a Aerox project on the forum, so i guess it's possible. But is taking it apart going to be a pain? Again thanks!
i took mine off and was gonna paint it,then decided not to.., but as far as im aware, the water will only leak a tiny bit, just point the hose upwards and you should be fine,,,, the cover will come off via 3 alan key bolts and then once its off just sand it then paint to your spec..then put it back on as for the shock im led to believe theres a tool for the springs, unless you can do it by hand, iv never tried... IMO if its looking tired/rusty just buy a new/2nd hand one in better nick and straight swap it overr,
Sorry for the late reply, but thanks Chubz! Il be doing that soon as im gona paint other parts of the bike too. As for the shock, my friend gave me this..... http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/756/aerox-rear-shock-absorber--bgm I was wondering if anyone knew how to adjust the height on it? Thanks
Cheers for the reply man! Thats the basic idea, but how do I do that? I think i need to compress the spring to do it, or a some sort of tool. Any ideas?
iv got that shock frm pedparts,,but mines the black one, price didnt bother me .. (black one just suited the colour of the bike more than blue and didnt wanna fuss about painting it) think you just move the clip thing around like Stathis said... but didnt try, just whacked it on my bike now looks crazy sick with a stage6 jackup mmmmmmm anodized stuff is so peng
