I own a piaggio zip sp.
I came off a few weeks ago quite badly.
So i've been respraying and fixing the panels.
Tbh im happy with them, they look like new thanks to my brother.
    Anyway to the point.
I put water in, as its liquid cooled obviously. But when i turn the engine over, and leave it to tick over for a about 30 seconds, water begins to leak very fast from the transmission case. So i took it off to have a look, and i believe it is coming from behind the oil pump? just below the the variator.

Do you have any ideas why it is leaking, as i can't get the mechanism off to have a look.

Sorry for the bad details im really no good with scooters tbh, only know the basics.

    Thank you so much.

If you can do it yourself then its pennys for a new seal and a days work stripping and rebuilding the engine.

A shop would probably charge £300+

its not a easy job unless uve ever split the cases on ure engine before its defooo not a easy thing to do if you are gonna do it use a repair kit there like 12 pounds but once again you will need to split the cases or you could remove ure engine and send it to shiny red i think he charges roughly 160 dont really remember but i got a quote from him before

    good luck
