Water impeller...what's the o ring for?

    Hi just fitting a new water pump impeller in gilera dnA. Engine split so easy to fit but the new kit came with a large o ring, the same diameter as the propeller. I had no such o rings / gaskets on the one I removed so does anyone know where exactly it goes? I can't find an online pdf.

    ignore it.... :) if you fitted or replaced everything you removed then its not needed. some come wiht the o ring, some dont, be it for use on a diff engine/part... or maybe they intend it for behind the retaining clip, piaggio dont list an o ring, so it doesntr need an oring :)
