vxr running problems

hya im trying to fix a runner vxr 125 for a friend it was non running so i cleaned the carb , now it ticks over but as soon as u rev it it just dies u can sumtimes build the revs up if u keep turning the throttle realy slow. seems like its running weak altho im not realy sure. im a 2 stroker not 4 lol.

 

Changed the spark plug?

 

check the CV diafragm in the carb.

 

did you clean the carbs jets?
i had exactly 100% same problem and turned out to be the pilot jet, it looked clear but then once i had put some compressed air and brak cleaner through it was fine.
try that as its free and easy.

 

yeah...if the scoots been unused the petrol could of gone off!!

modern petrol goes off sooner than you think

 

i drained the petrol from my gpr into a clear container when i first got it

and it was half white half black, like literally split half way up the container
