VX Forks on a piaggio nrg

    Do vx forks fit piaggio nrg mc3 frame? thanks

    its not a straight fit you have to cut the headstock down a bit

    All you have to do is cut the steering stem off the old nrg forks after measuring them first, then cut off the vx stem, have a steel bar welded in with the nrg stem on the vx forks. Easy to do and keeps the steering lock. And before anyone says "just cut the frame down a bit", you don't cut your toes off to fit a new pair of shoes! You might want or need to fit a set of std forks back !

    You can just cut the frame down and then enlarge the steering lock hole on the vx forks to keep the steering lock.

    The problem is you do need to cut it perfectly flat. This is quite tricky to do. Also as Marsh says you then can't fit standard forks ever on again.

    As well as that VX forks are bouncy and crap and the bike will sit far too high. You will have to run only a side stand or mod the centre stand.
