i think my vx has a bit too much petrol running through because it cuts out after start...after its been running it doesnt cut out for bout 1 n half minutes and it runs to normal speed of around 75 mph clock speed... i am buying a leo vince 4 road today...because it already might be jetted to high would this help when putting my new exhaust on as i might not need to rejet...but if you think i should rejet im gertting it done professionally...what do ya think? cheers ~Zenny
nobody would upjet a 4t for no reason.... its probably a sticky throttle pump or bent throttle cable stopping the pump from working. just inspect the throttle opperation from the right side of the engine. you will see the cable moving the crescent and the crescent moving an arm.. if the arm is not working cover it in wd40 and make suire everythings in line as there often kicked inwards and bent to the point of not working.
thanks dude...i gotta service it today anyway get it all running smooth...il have a look at that. so on adrenaline pedstop, where leo vince 4 ROAD claims improved acceleration and hill speed. is that true then without having to rejet it?
no and no... most of the 4t pipes work as well as the standard altho they sound better... the leo isnt a bad pipe, marginal gains but it feels like more, much like the rest of the pipes about. most loose a bit of power. only real way to get power out of one is bigger cc and a better cam, expensive.. just leave it be an munch some miles.
yeh...it is fast as standard anyway so i will leave it...goingto try withsomething more simple to do up like a rox 50 or something like that...cheers once again.
